Production was halted after 7 bulls broke free and injured two peopleProducers of the Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz film ‘Knight & Day’ were due to present a new safety plan to Cádiz City Hall this Tuesday after the incident on Sunday when seven bulls being used on location escaped and injured two people.
The bulls ran through the city’s streets for around an hour before they were finally captured on the beach at La Caleta and returned to their pens. The scene being shot was a simulation of a bull run.
City Hall ordered an immediate halt to shooting until new safety measures could be introduced. It’s understood from El Mundo that the new safety plan includes a different type of fencing fixed to the ground plus extra fencing around the location perimeter.
The production company is also reported to have agreed to City Hall’s demand that the bulls’ starring role in Cádiz be a shorter one, while the animal which broke through the protective barrier will not be used again.
