The Swedish actor lives in the town with his familyThe Swedish actor, Dolph Lundgren has been named ‘Marbella Ambassador’. The actor who is best known for his role as a Russian boxer, Ivan Drago, in ‘Rocky IV’ has been chosen by the Town Hall to promote the image of the resort.
Mayor of Marbella, Angeles Muñoz, made a statement saying that it was ‘an authentic privilege to have neighbours as distinguished as Dolph, who could chose any place to live and has decided to be with us’. ‘He will promote the town and its image worldwide’, said Muñoz.
The actor has said that he and his wife and two children have made their home in Marbella and are not thinking of ever moving away, describing the town as ‘a very special place for my family’. He also noted the ‘warmth and hospitality of the locals, who know how to enjoy life in a way that is unique in the world’.
Lundgren is the second ‘Marbella Ambassador’, after the naming of Alejandro Blanco, the President of the Spanish Olympic Committee.
