British family make lucky escape in Algorfalarger |
smallerBy h.b. - Dec 17, 2009 - 6:39 AMThe five members of the family were found by chance unconscious in their home on Wednesday nightFive members of the same British family, three women, a man, and a baby boy, are in hospitals in Torrevieja and la Vega Baja after being found unconscious in their home on the golf course Algorfa, Alicante.
The prompt action of a neighbour and the police saved their lives. Police were called and one of the local agents broke into the property by breaking a window. He found the family unconscious on the floor of the same room.
The neighbour had called at the house by chance to greet the family at 6,30pm on Wednesday night.
The first hypothesis is that they were all suffering from Carbon Monoxide poisoning, probably from a defective heater.
