The man is now in the town's hospital reported to be in a serious condition

A woman cut the throat of her partner while the couple were travelling by car through Elche on Thursday. The car was being driven by a third person.
The couple are from the Maghreb and reports indicate an argument in the car got out of hand.

The man is now in a serious condition in hospital in Elche, and the car driver has given the police a full report on what occurred. Apparently the man who was stabbed was in the front passenger seat, while the woman who attacked him was sitting in the back.
