Three local policemen in Madrid have been suspended without pay for six months by Madrid City Hall, after being found guilty of a serious fault which could have seen them expelled from the force or suspended for upto three years.

The three were found guilty of letting the air out of the tyres of patrol cars as part of protests organised by police unions in demand for more pay. The three had been caught on camera letting down the tyres last December on three patrol cars when out in the capital.
