A total of ten provinces along the Galician coast and on the Canaries are on alert for rough seas today. The Spanish Meteorological Agency AEMET has put the following provinces on Orange alert where waves of five metres can be expected - A Coruña, Lugo and Pontevedra, with El Hierro, La Palma and Tenerife. Yellow alerts are in place in Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and La Gomera.
Most of the mainland and the Baleares will be cloudy today, with light showers, moderate in places and more frequent in the west and centre of the peninsular where they could occasionally be stormy. The rain will be less in evidence in the SE of the country, on the Costa Cálida and Blanca.
The snow line will range from 1,300m in the northern half of the country to 2,500, reducing later to 1,700m in the south.
Winds weak to moderate W, with strong intervals along the Andalucia coastline. Weak to moderate S on the Baleares and northerly on the Canaries.

Outlook
Expect a wet week with rain in most areas along the Costas on most days until next Saturday. Heaviest rainfalls can be expected on Wednesday night and Friday.
The centre of the country will be drier from Wednesday, while the northern Costa Blanca will be drier also but will see snow as temperatures plummet on Saturday
