The two ex President of the Unió Mallorquina (UM), ex Tourism Councillor of the Baleares Government, Miquel Nadal, and Miquel Àngel Flaquer, escaped entering prison on Tuesday by paying 100,000 € bail set by the judge.

They faces charges of mis-use of public funds, and administrative perversion of the course of justice in the Operación Voltor corruption case.

Also meeting the 100,000 € bail requirement before 1pm on Tuesday were two others accused in the corruption case, Antoni Oliver and Joan Sastre, while the UM accountant, Álvaro Llompart, met a 75,000 € bail requirement.

All five presented their bail to the judge in Instruction Court 10 in Palma, Carmen Abrines.
