The most important mobile phone fair in the world, Mobile World Congress, has got underway for another year in Barcelona. 47,000 people are expected to visit the 1,300 exhibitors, 120 more exhibitors than last year.
The four day fair is estimated to be worth over 200 million € to the Catalan capital, where it’s almost impossible to find a hotel room.
Taxi drivers are busy and the setting up of the displays has given temporary work to more than 27,000.
This year’s congress is marked by the inclusion of the developers of applications which are downloaded onto the iPhone, Google android phones and others, bringing a whole new range of possible uses for your mobile device.
