News of the incident on February 9th is now emergingTwo months after Spain had to apologise to the Gibraltar First Minister after four Guardia Civil sailed onto the rock, there has been another incident, but this time the claim that two British vessels, a patrol boat and a semi-rigid launch were found in Spanish waters six miles from La Linea de la Concepción, three miles further out than the still disputed limit of British waters.
News is now emerging of the incident which took place on the 9th of this month with the two British boats spotted by a Spanish patrol from Algeciras.
The right wing press in Spain considers that the Royal Navy has been emboldened by the quick apology of Spain and the Minister Rubalcaba after the previous incident.
Meanwhile Rosa Diez from the UPyD party has called on the Spanish Government to promote better police cooperation with Gibraltar so that the Guardia Civil in the area can better fight the drug trafficking and organised crime without such diplomatic problems.
