The 'best restaurant in the world' is set to close in two years timeConfusion over the future of the ‘World’s Best Restaurant’ according to Restaurant Magazine, has been resolved by the owner, chef Ferrán Adriá.
Speaking at the Santiago Gastronomic Forum on Monday he confirmed the reports that ‘El Bulli’ would become a private foundation after its closure in two years time.
Adriá says the new foundation will be non-profit making and he wants to create a new encyclopaedia of the advances in cuisine over the past 15 or 20 years, and also to hold congresses at the venue which will also see 25 scholarships for chefs and waiters each year.
