The female owner and employee in a jewellers shop in Gandía, Valencia, frustrated an attempted robbery last Monday.
Video footage has emerged which shows the thief, wearing a motorcycle helmet, pretending to be from a messenger company, while an accomplice waited outside on a motorbike.
He rung the bell of the jewellers and showed some delivery envelopes, and when the owner opened the door to receive the package he took out a pistol.
The woman, seeing the gun, helped by the employee, another woman, managed to push the thief out of the shop and lock the door. The two women said they acted on reflex, as the two would be thieves then fled the scene having to push their bike as it would not start.
