Dates have been announced for the opening of the new Málaga second ring road. The section which runs between the Guadalhorce motorway to the A7 behind Torremolinos will be open before the summer, and the rest of the road will be operational before the end of the year.
The dates were given by the Development Minister, José Blanco, who was in Málaga on Tuesday to check on the progress at the new Terminal 3 of the airport which opens on March 16. He told the press that work on the road was being speeded up and claimed that once open it would mean an hour’s saving for rush hour drivers who use the currently saturated western ring road round the city.
