The friendly match ended 0-2No opposition for Spain in France last night with the friendly game ending 0-2. Spain did not need their best game to achieve the result against an off-form France, with the goals coming from David Villa and Sergio Ramos.
It was Villa’s 36th goal in 55 games for the national side.
Iker Casillas played his 102nd match in goal for Spain and that equals the record set by Raúl González for the side.
Meanwhile back in Spain Cartagena have been fined 602 € because members of the crowd threw a ball and a toilet roll onto the pitch during their game against Betis last Sunday. Despite the innocuous nature of the items the incidents were recorded by the referee and the club fined.
