Junta puts the brakes on more housing in Rincón de la Victorialarger |
smallerBy h.b. - Mar 5, 2010 - 1:28 PMThe Junta wants no more building to the north of the motorway in the townThe new PGOU Urban Plan for Rincón de la Victoria wanted to see a tripling in the number of new homes, but the Junta de Andalucía has ordered the municipality to correct the excess and says it does not want to see more building to the north of the A-7 motorway.
It considers that two planned urbanisations with 2,600 homes to the north of the road would not be viable.
The PGOU projects 15,459 new homes in the municipality which currently has 8,100. It would result in a practical doubling of the current census of 37.145, well over the 30% limit set by the Junta in the POTA ordination plan.
