More than 100 people are suffering from intoxication from incorrectly adjusted gas heaters as some homes in the area are into their fourth day without power. One person, a 41 year old woman from Ultramort, Baix Empordà, has died from CO poisoning, and 105 people have been treated in health centres and hospitals in the region. Three have been kept in for observation in the Palamós Hospital. Many of the problems have resulted from poorly ventilated domestic generators as people tried to keep warm.
More snow is forecast today in the Upper Ebro, inland Cantabria, and in the far NE of Castilla y León. Also inland in Eastern Andalucía, Murcia and in the south of the Valencia region during the morning.
Many parts of the country and the Baleares will see freezing temperatures.
The rain in Eastern Andalucía, Murcia, Alicante and Valencia will be in the form of showers, generally weak, but with moderate falls in some areas, clearing from West to East as the day goes on.
Occasional showers elsewhere in the country, with some breaks in the cloud to give sunny intervals.
Snow line from 200-600 in the north – increasing to 1000m at midday and from 1200 increasing to 1500m in the south. 600m on the Baleares.
Winds generally weak to moderate N, veering Westerly later in the day along the Andalucian coastline.

Outlook
Breaks in the cloud from this afternoon will continue to give a sunny weekend in most of the south of the country. There will be some cloud, more on the Costa Blanca, but even here it should remain dry.
Showers and some rain will continue in the north .
A similar partly cloudy but dry start to the week next week but night-time temperatures, having recovered over the weekend, will fall again on Monday.
