Three councillors are now accused of building their homes on rustic land

The Málaga Prosecutors Office is investigating allegations that three Partido Popular councillors in Alhaurín el Grande own homes built irregularly on rustic land. The judicial investigation will try to establish if the properties involved have been built without any licence, or if they were authorised by the Ayuntamiento against town planning legislation.

The three councillors implicated are Sebastián Burgos, Deputy Mayor, Antonia Ledesma who has her home registered as belonging to her parents, and Diego Burgos who is the local councillor for the environment, and registered the property in his wife’s name.

In addition El País reports that another councillor, Josefa Brescia, is about to face a court hearing for building her home on rustic land, after the court in Coín opened the case against her in 2006.

Meanwhile the PP Mayor of Alhaurín el Grande, Juan Martín Serón, and his town planning councillor, Gergorio Guerra, are accused of perversion of the course of justice and bribery in the Troya Case, where they are accused of accepting backhanders in exchange of favours for developers.
