The Provincial Court in Murcia declared an auction for a detached villa with garage deserted on Jan 10, despite the price being just 56,700 €. The property is at 13 calle Montesinos in the city, an address that many know from the news, because it was there, on January 18 2002, that Francisca González, high on blood, cocaine and alcohol suffocated and strangled two of her children with the cord of her mobile phone charger.
There have been many other examples in Spain of bargain property which has failed to sell, real estate agents say that despite the recession and low prices, crime-scene properties are hard to sell.
20minutos reports that they note that some other properties are currently on the market, at a bargain price, but where the walls could tell a similar tragedy.
