Recent storms have caused serious land subsidence in the urbanisation

Following the serious land subsidence seen at the Forest Hills urbanisation in Estepona, eight of the eleven families have been able to return home after land stabilising work has been carried out.

However two of the properties affected will have to be demolished, and will be knocked down over the next three days.

Diario Sol reports that the local Urbanismo department has ordered the controlled demolitions as the structures are considered to be unsafe. The owners of the adjoining property will also have to stay away from home as the work is carried out.

Mayor David Valadez has said that the access road to the urbanisation is also to be strengthened.
