Bones have been found in a well in Jinámar, on Gran Canaria, by National Police special operations agents who were looking for the body of Sara Morales, the girl who was 14 when she went missing in June 2006.

EFE reports that the Forensic Institute of Legal Medicine has examined x-rays of the bones, but has yet to confirm that they are human.
Local newspapers have however said it is thought the bones could be those of a young person.

Operations are expected to continue at the site, next to the GC-100 road, to extract the bones which are set to be at a depth of some 20 metres.
