There have been two massive explosions in a fireworks factory in Santiago de Compostela.
It happened in the town of Teo, 10 kilometres from Santiago, early on Monday morning when, fortunately, there were no staff on site.
The Mayor of Teo, Armando Blanca, said he heard the explosion when he was asleep in bed, and thought ‘it was a lorry which had crashed into my house.’
No-one was injured in the blasts, but the factory was badly damaged, and nearby houses were left with broken windows, doors blown in, and in some cases, their roofs blown off.
