It's the latest stage of the Jable operation against real estate corruption

Seven people have been arrested in a new operation against real estate corruption on the Canaries.

The ex President of the Cabildo Government on Lanzarote, María José Docal, is among those detained along with two councillors from Arrecife Town Hall and several businessmen on the island.

It is being described as the third phrase of the Operación Jable, which has now seen 24 detained for alleged real estate abuses.
