The Spanish Meteorological Agency has put the west and centre of the country on Orange or Yellow alert for high temperatures today.

The areas on Orange Alert are Orense, Madrid, Toledo, Cácerces, Badajoz, Córdoba, Jaén, Sevillam Huelva. Yellow Alerts are in place for Cádiz, Ciudad Real, Albacete, Cuenca, Guadalajara, Salamanca, Zamora, León, A Coruña and Pontevedra.

Cloudy in Cantabria, the north of Navarra, Aragón, the Upper Ebro and the north of Galicia, clearing later in the day.
Cloudy intervals in Andalucía with the chance of a light shower which could be stormy.
