25 provinces are on alert for high temperatures today

Parts of Madrid, Extremadura, Castilla-La Mancha and Andalucia could reach 40 degrees.

The Spanish state meteorological agency AEMET has issued Orange Alerts, where temperaturas could reach 40 degrees for Cáceres, Badajoz, Madrid, Toledo, Ciudad Real, Córdoba and Jaén. Yellow alerts with temperatures upto 36 degrees have been issued in Zamora, Salamanca, Galicia, Navarra, Zaragoza, Huesca, Teruel, Guadalajara, Cuenca, Albacete, Valencia, Alicante, Murcia, Granada, Sevilla, Huelva and the Islas Canarias.
