Cristiano Ronaldo could be seriously injured with Spanish media reporting that he has a problem with his right leg after Real Madrid’s disappointing 0-0 draw away in Mallorca – the first league game with Jose Mourinho in charge. El Mundo reports that Ronaldo will have a magnetic resonance scan on his leg later today, Monday, after the tackle from Cendrós after just two minutes play. Real Madrid failed to score despite dominating much of the match.
The news for Barcelona could not be more different with David Villa now adding to the Champion’s attack and scoring one of the goals in their 0-3 win at Racing. Messi took two minutes to score and the third goal came from Iniesta.
Pep Guardiola, the Barça trainer, is in the news also for the departure of Ibrahimovic, who has been leased to Inter Milan with the obligation to pay 24 million € on July 1, 2011 for a definitive transfer for four years.
‘The philosopher Guardiola has broken by dreams’ is the quote from Ibrahimovic.
There was no joy for the new owner of Málaga, Sheik Abdula Al Thani, on Saturday as his side went down at home 1-3 against Valencia. Málaga were weak throughout the match especially in defence and the mid-field.
