Four Spanish players got through the third round

Rafa Nadal lead the Spanish to a grand day at the US Open on Sunday as he got through his third round match, along with three other Spaniards, Feliciano López, David Ferrer and Fernando Verdasco. Nicolás Almagro was not so successful, defeated by the United States player Querrey.

Rafa Nadal beat Gilles Simon in his best match of the tournament so far, 6-4, 6-4 and 6-2. He meets Feliciano López in the last 16.
Ferrer and Verdasco overcame Gimeno Traver and Nalbandian, and will meet each other for a place in the quarter finals.
