The Spanish Meteorological Agency has used yellow alerts today for high temperatures in Alicante and Valencia and for rain and storms on the Canary islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura and in Navarra.

Chance of showers and storms which will be heavy in places in parts of the Upper Ebro, Pyrenees, and on the south and east of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.

Cloud will increase across the northern third of the mainland, spreading from W to E with weak to moderate rainfall, occasionally stormy in the east.
The rest of the mainland will be generally clear and sunny, with some high cloud in places later in the day.
Generally cloudy on the Canaries with light to moderate rain in the eastern islands, which could be heavy in palces.

Winds weak to moderate S in the Mediterranean area and Ebro valley, while it will be Westerly in the rest of the mainland with strong gusts along the Cantabrian coast.
In the Strait it will be levante moderate in the morning, veering to poniente later in the day. Weak to moderate NE on the Canaries

Warmer on the Levante coast but little changed elsewhere.

Little change, continuing unsettled in some areas tomorrow, but the rest of the week will see more sunshine and stable conditions, although it will be cooler in many areas.
