The United States Ambassador to Spain, Alan Solomont, has said that the visit of Michelle Obama to Ronda a month ago has awakened the interest of U.S. tourists in the town.

The Ambassador was in the Málaga town on Sunday during the Pedro Romero local fiestas, and used the occasion to follow a route round the monuments in the town, including the 19th century house and gardens, Casa de Don Bosco, with its view to the famous Tajo.

The Mayor of Ronda, Antonio Marin Lara, revealed on Sunday that Michelle Obama had promised to return, ‘and not alone’.
