Fernando Verdasco is through to the US open quarter finals after beating David Ferrer and coming back from two sets down.

It was an intense and spectacular match which lasted for four hours and 23 minutes, and either player finally could have won.
It ended 5-7, 6-7 (8), 6-3, 6-3 y 7-6 (4).

Verdasco goes on to meet Rafa Nadal who beat Feliciano López, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4.

Tommy Robredo is out, beaten by Mikhail Youzhny 7-5, 6-2, 4-6 and 6-4, in three hours and five minutes.
