An option to buy has been announced for the land which has been selected as the site for the new Paramount Studios theme park in Alhama de Murcia. It’s a site which covers 1.7 million square metres of land and will cost 15 million €.
It’s understood from La Verdad newspaper that the agreement signed on Monday will be in place until December 2. The option to buy will have a zero cost until then.
Pedro Cruz, the regional councillor for culture and tourism, said when he announced the agreement that the area of land is more than sufficient for the entire project, which would include the park itself and, in addition, a number of themed hotels within the complex.
It’s expected to attract an average of 4.5 million visitors a year.
