Five people have been arrested after the incident involving Spaniards and Moroccans
Five people have been arrested for what some reports say may have been a racist attack in Berza on Saturday, involving a group of Spaniards and several Moroccans.
The latest arrests were on Tuesday: one Moroccan and two Spaniards of gypsy origin. The Union of Agricultural Labourers believe it was a ‘xenophobic attack.’
Some 40 immigrant workers held a demonstration outside central government’s representative office in Almería on Tuesday, carrying banners with the words ‘No more racist attacks.’
One of the Moroccan men injured in Saturday’s incident told the press ‘we came from Morocco to work, not to fight.’
