There has been a large demonstration in Madrid today, organised by the Association of Terrorism Victims, ATV, against the starting of talks with ETA. Several top members of the Partido Popular took part in the demonstration which lasted an hour in the Plaza de Colón in Madrid.

The demonstrators used the slogan ‘negotiation, in my name no!’ also demanded ‘the truth’ over the March 11th Madrid train bombings two years ago, convinced that ETA were also involved in some way.

There were many shouts against the government and the Prime Minister. Those from the opposition to attend included the leader of the PP, Mariano Rajoy, Secretary General Ãngel Acebes, Spokesman in Congress Eduardo Zaplana, the President of the regional government Esperanza Aguirre, and the Mayor of Madrid, Alberto Ruiz Gallardón.

The Mayor suffered some abuse from supports of the COPE radio presenter, Federico Jiménez Losantos, who has been insulting the mayor on air over recent days, and who now the Mayor says faces legal action as a result.
The usual war of numbers has broken out with the Madrid regional government saying ‘around a million’ took part, while the police put the number present at 200,000.

It was the fourth demonstration against negotiation with ETA since the first cease fire was announced 18 months ago.

I was there. The people in the rally knew it wasn't Al-Qaeda who blew up the trains. It was a coup, held by ETA and the Socialist Party. This is the reason why the socialist government tries to hide the truth of the 11-M and is prepared to surrender to ETA, so he has put himself in the terrorists' hands.

In their internal bulletin of April, the terrorists said Zapatero had to satisfy all their demands if he wants to continue in the government.

Zapatero is a traitor to Spain.

You have to write that police methods of counting people have been known by the press. On the contrary, Madrid government, that say "million people" without giving reasons or explanations about the count method

The police methods can be biased, at least here. The figure of a million has been given by the victims association.

Libertad Digital or the Victims Association can also be biased - anyone can. El Pais broke the area down into areas and the number of people per square metre and ended up with 200,000 people.
Having said that it amazes us in the typicallyspanish newsroom with the obsession in the Spanish media on the numbers - The same thing was seen over the for and against gay marriage marches. Surely the number debate draws attention away from the real issue?

Ashamed and hurt as spaniard and as human being.
Zapatero is already a nightmare. As the song goes... "give Mr. President my honest regards for disregarding us"

you are just right, Angel
TVE, LA SER, EL PAIS, etc.etc.etc
all controlled by Sr. Polanco and PSOE
Disgusting, appalling, but true.
Zapatero is a Power-eater. That's the only thing that matters to him. Power, power, power.
It took many years for Spaniards to foget the war, and Franco. To learn to leave in peace, and there he comes, this president-by-accident, tearing this country into pieces, and here we are now, divided again.
Zapatero wants us to forget 3/11 as if the bombing never occurred, but he is forcing us to go back in time (70 years) and remember II Republic.
He's just mad. He's just pathetic.

Something is happening in this country.
More and more people believe that Mr. Zp and some of his closest partners are in some way involved with the "terrorist" attack of M-11. There are still many unexplained details, but those we are knowing tell us that the official investigation is simply a lie.

11 March. After 2 years, Spain knows the truth. The official version is a lie.
Why the Government is defending a lie? Is there a way to go to United Nations and ask for help? How many citizens in a country need to sign to do so? Anybody knows?

Zapatero is the president that will bring peace to Ex-pain. Just give to the terrorists what they want and that is peace,,, The president for not-really-accident has been giving away what Spain gained with effort and sacrifice, unity, dignity and solidarity among all territories. Could anyone in Ireland understand that the goverment prohibits to speak in English, forces everybody to use gaelic, fining business that only uses english in their front? Stupidieties like these are growing like fungi in territories ruled by nacionalists. The socialists accept this nonsense just to continue with the politic of anything but PP and socialists voters cannot understand what this guy is able to do to continue in power. Once the truth of March 11 bombings comes up to light everything will make sense and the socialist will need the real catarsis.

The demonstration had two targets:
One was against the starting of talks with ETA.
But there was another target and not leat important. A lot of people in Spain its began to ask about the 11-M investigatión.This investigation is full of lies and rregularities.
