The rally in the share price as power companies soar leads many of the Spanish papers today
El Mundo leads with the National Court saying that it sees indication that a crime may have been committed in connection with the falsification of a report on links between ETA and the March 11th bombings. The conspiracy theory continues. The paper says that Baltasar Garzón will today question the police who were witnesses in the case. The paper says Interior Minister, Alfredo Pérez Rubalcaba, avoided answering a question on the subject in parliament yesterday.

El Mundo says the rise in power company share prices has taken the Madrid stock market to a record high. The paper says that Pedro Solbes, Minister for the Economy, says that he is prepared to reform the law so mergers and fusions can take place more easily.
El Pais leads with the share rally and says the IBEX is up 20.6% since the start of the year.
La Razón leads with the story and has graphs to boot.
ABC also leads with the stock market.

El Mundo says that police have stopped the army from evicting immigrants who are being held at an army barracks at Las Raíces in Tenerife. El Mundo said the stand-off there on Tuesday was out of a Hollywood movie.
El Pais has a photo of Gambian immigrants who have been transferred to the Madrid Sierra after 40 days in a reception centre in Tenerife. The paper also quotes the Prime Minister Zapatero saying yesterday in congress who criticised the French Interior Minister who arrives for talks in Madrid tomorrow. ‘This government does not value what Sarkozy says about immigration’.
ABC notes that the Socialist party has supported a bill in congress which describes Spain as ‘A pluri-national state’.

El Pais reports that the Prime Minister has said that he still plans to hold talks with ETA, despite the recent street vandalism in the Basque Country.
ABC has this as lead with a photo of the PM in congress yesterday.

El Pais reports that Spain has said no to NATO using their rapid reaction force to strengthen the contingent in Afghanistan.
The paper also notes that Angela Merkel has condemned the suspension of an opera in Berlin, because of fears of Islamic reprisals.
La Razón says all of Europe is protesting the censorship.

With regional elections on the way shortly in Cataluña, El Periódico reports that a new local train line is to be built between Casteldefels and Cornella.

And finally,
Many papers, including La Razón, notes a new study shows school dinners in Spain are poor, with a lack of vegetables, fish, eggs and milk products.
