Arrests where made across the country as one video showed a four year old girl

The National Police have arrested 13 people across the country in connection with the distribution of child porn videos on the Internet.

The files, including a five minute video of a four year old girl, were being shared on a P2P system and among those arrested are two children, two women and a range of people from computer experts to a Civil Servant in the Xunta de Galicia.

Several premises were searched as part of the Operación Libra, and there were arrests in Barcelona (Sant Hipolit de Voltrega, Sabadell, Tarrasa y Santa Coloma de Gramanet), Girona (Anglés), La Coruña, San Sebastián, Bilbao, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Burgos, Ciudad Real, Zaragoza, Palma de Mallorca, Jaén, Valencia and Santiago de Compostela.

The Secretary of State for Security, Antonio Camacho, has described the child pornography as ‘repugnant’ because it affects the most sensitive part of society.
