It follows the sighting of more oil leaking at the wreck site
The Government has called on the Repsol YPF company to revise the site of the Prestige Oil Tanker on the seabed off the Galician coast, to establish the extent of the new oil leaks reported.

Deputy Prime Minister, María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, said that the Government wanted a full inspection of the site, 250kms off shore, to be carried out in the new year.

Speaking in the region she said it was considered remote that the new leaks could cause a new environmental disaster in Galicia.
