The company's Málaga store opens in October
With IKEA still to open their first store in Málaga in October next year, close to the Plaza Nueva, comes the announcement that the company is already looking for land to open a second store in Marbella.
Ikea Iberia Director of Expansion, Jaime García-Alegría, said the Málaga store construction is now underway, and it will be the company’s 11th store in Spain. It’s expected to attract 3.3 million visits and 2.2 million clients in the first year.
He told the Opinon de Málaga newspaper that as far as the Marbella store was concerned, things were on hold until after the local elections when the political landscape would be clearer.
