The news was released on Wednesday that the two were arrested on Sunday while they were sweeping an area near the Montejícar Mediaeval Castle in Granada province with metal detectors. They had already collected a number of objects from the site.
A search of the house where one of the men, who is from Motril, lived discovered more stolen objects, and two shotguns which had been hidden nearby. The other suspect is from Almería province.
