Los Alcázares deaths were caused by carbon monoxide poisoning

A bird nest was blocking the exit from the water heater

La Verdad newspaper reports that the Civil Guard have confirmed that the two Rumanian men who died in Los Alcázares on New Year’s Eve died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Their reports says technicians who inspected the house on La Dorada Urbanisation found a bird’s nest blocking the exit from the water heater, and that the utility room where it was installed had been illegally closed in.

A 19 year old countrywoman who was also in the house survived the tragedy and remains in hospital under observation.
