Concentration camp memorial defaced with pro-Nazi graffiti

It was erected in memory of victims of the Mauthausen Camp

Residents associations in Almería City have announced a demonstration in protest at pro-Nazi graffiti which has appeared on a war memorial in a city centre park.

It takes place on 28th January in front of the monument itself, in Las Almadrabillas Park. The memorial was the idea of Antonio Muñoz, one of 250 people from the province who were deported to the Mauthausen concentration camp during the 2nd World War.

He was one of 108 who survived to return home.
