The President of the Unió Mallorquina party has only got a licence for a stable on the site
The PP ex Mayor of Andratx, Eugenio Hidalgo, has denied having threatened a councillor from the Unió Mallorquina (UM), party, Isabel Alemany. He told the court that he ordered the closure of a car park run by the councillor’s mother on safety grounds.
Eugenio Hidalgo, is now charged on seven counts linked to real estate corruption and is currently on bail after spending 17 days in prison. He is now accused of carrying out at least seven real estate deals real estate companies in the locality.
Meanwhile the President of the UM party in Andratx, and also the head of the Mallorca Tourism Board, Pep Bestard, has placed a horse to graze inside his house built on the outskirts of the locality.
A judge has discovered that there is only a licence for a stable and not a dwelling on the site, but the local press now shows a modern villa, complete with the white horse.
The horse has appeared, complete with electric fence to stop his escape, the day before Sñr Bestard is due to declare in court over the licence for the house.
