They are accused of trafficking in cocaine and anabolic steroids
The Organised Crime and Drugs Squad have arrested 13 members of a drug trafficking network which supplied cocaine to clubs in Murcia, Archena, Molina de Segura, Ceutí and Abarán. They also sold anabolic steroids to local gymnasiums.
The operation, dubbed ‘Bolígrafo,’ or ‘Ballpoint pen,’ seized a kilo of cocaine which had been packaged into separate sheets ready for distribution. An unspecified quantity of another substance which would have been used to cut the drug was confiscated. Officers recovered 100 boxes of anabolic steroids, plus approximately 500 unpackaged ampoules.
Vehicles and firearms were also confiscated.
The network was led by three brothers who own gyms in Ceutí and Archena, which they used as a cover for laundering the proceeds from their drug deals.
