Torrox third on national list for retired foreign population

Nationally there are now more than 4 million foreigners living in Spain
Latest numbers show that 14% of the population in the province of Málaga is now foreign. Torrox has risen to third on the national list of Spanish towns with most retired foreign residents – 35.4%, and Nerja is tenth nationally with 29.2%.
Across Málaga province the British are the most numerous with 51,162 empadronado, followed by 20,239 Moroccans, and 14,984 Argentinians.
There are now more than 4 million foreigners living in Spain, following an 11% increase over last year.
The figures have been released by the INE, National Statistics Institute.
