Sevilla only draw at home in the UEFA cupBrazilian player, Roberto Carlos, has announced that he will not be renewing his contract with Real Madrid. Speaking on a radio programme, he said it was time for change when his current contract runs out at the end of this season. He said the criticism he received after the Champions League game against Bayern Munich played a part in his decision.
Sevilla have a complicated job in the UEFA cup after a 2-2 draw at home in the first leg against Shakhtar Donetsk. The result was unexpected with Sevilla deciding to rest their star striker Kanouté because of the high number of games the side is facing.
Espanyol drew with M.Haifa 0-0
Celta were beaten by Werder Bermen 0-1
And Osasuna drew in Glasgow 1-1
Unicaja Málaga are through to the quarter finals of the Euroleague Basketball after a close win against Benetton 76-79.
Winterthur Barcelona are also through after a 59-77 result against Prokom in Poland.
