18 month old Aruk was left abandoned when his owners were sent to prisonA dog which had been abandoned on the balcony of a Madrid flat for the past two weeks has been rescued by the Civil Guard, firemen, and members of the animal protection group,
El Refugio.
Eighteen-month old
Aruk, a cross-breed dog, was kept alive by neighbours putting food over the balcony. They also managed to use a hosepipe to keep him supplied with water.
He was left there when, according to neighbours, his owners entered prison.
