The operation has arrested six members of an Eastern European organisation which operated in three provinces in Andalucía

A National Police operation against organised violent crime has arrested six members of what is believed to be a much larger organisation. They carried out violent robberies in homes and warehouses in three provinces of Andalucía: Málaga, Sevilla and Cádiz.

The six suspects taken into custody this weekend belonged to two different groups of the organisation, and are from Serbia-Montenegro, Kosovo and Albania. It appears they were based in Málaga province, with property searches being made in Torremolinos, Benalmádena and Marbella.

The operation, dubbed ‘Lexus,’ recovered 6,000 € in cash, valuable jewellery, electronic goods and a stolen vehicle.

Several of the detainees had previous warrants issued for their arrest and now face possible charges of fourteen counts of violent robbery and forgery.
Further arrests have not been ruled out.
