Three beggars, two Romanians and a Spaniard, have been arrested in connection with the murder of the retired priest in Murcia, according to today’s La Opinión de Murcia newspaper.
Police say the three often went to the home of 75 year old Salvador Fernández Ciller to ask for money, and that they were seen with him on Sunday.
The priest was found tied and bound and had been beaten around the head with a hammer.
