Homeless man charged with attempted murder after setting a house fire

A man in his late 30’s has been arrested in Callosa de Segura, and accused of attempted murder after starting a fire in what appeared to be an abandoned property he had been sharing with another man on the old road between Callosa de Segura and Rafal for several months.

The resulting blaze affected part of the building and also affected local lighting and water supplies. Police say both men lived in the property and had an alcohol-induced argument earlier in the day.
The fire was put out by the Vega baja fire service.
