A patera small boat arrived in Motril port overnight with 68 immigrants on board, six of them women and six of them babies. All the travellers were reported by Red Cross volunteers to be in good health, and all were Sub-Saharan.
The boat was first spotted around 8pm last night when 32 miles off the coast, and was escorted into Motril port just after midnight.
The immigrants are now at the disposition of the National Police and being housed in the immigration reception centre in Motril port. Once they have been identified, the adults face extradition to their countries of origin.
