Fernando Alonso said that he should have stopped to change this tyres on an earlier lap as rain affected the end of what turned out to be a chaotic Grand Prix at Spa in Belgium.

The Spaniard came in fourth after starting sixth on the grid, beating Sebastian Vettel on the line and making up two places in the start.

Lewis Hamilton won the race, but was then given a 25 second penalty for cutting a chicane and ended third. The new race winner was Felipe Massa, with Nick Heidfield coming second.
