Recent rains have little effect on Málaga Reservoirs

Reservoirs in Málaga province remain at an average of less than 20 percent capacity despite the recent rains.
They have gained a mere 0,3 cubic hectometres over the past seven days, and the amount of water currently held is 6% less than at this time a year ago.

The Conde de Guadalhorce reservoir did the best from the rain at the start of the Autumn, increasing 1.2 cubic hectometres to take it to 33% capacity, but in general the reservoirs are no more than 18.5% full.

More rain is expected at the end of the week, but the water authorities have warned that restrictions will have to be introduced unless there is more substantial rainfall during the Autumn.
