The first heavy snows of the Autumn have been falling in Spain following a sharp fall in temperatures in many areas yesterday, down by as much as 10ºC in places.
The Spanish Meteorological Office says that heavy rains will continue in many areas today, especially on the Costa Blanca, Castilla la Mancha, Eastern Andalucía, and in the area of the Strait and Melilla. The snowline is 1500m in the north and 2,000m in the south. It will be generally cloudy in the Mediterranean area and there is a yellow alert for heavy rain in Málaga today.
Conditions will remain unsettled until next week.
